Subject:
Aspirational prayers for peace and happiness

A text about the meaning of drupchens written by Patrul Rinpoche can be read here

FBBanner_v3s The Rigdzin Düpa, the inner Guru-Yoga practice, is one of the important teachings of Longchen Nyingthik tradition. Originally it was transmitted by Guru Rinpoche to King Trisong Detsen, Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal and to Lotsawa Vairotsana in Tibet at Samye Monastery in the IX century. Guru Rinpoche then concealed it as a mind treasure through his enlightened power. In 1760, Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa (1729-1798), an incarnation of King Trisong Detsen, great master of Nyingma Tradition, discovered Rigdzin Düpa as hidden mind treasure.

The teaching of Rigdzin Düpa integrates the heart essences of development and dissolutions stages of Inner Tantra. It is one of the three roots—the three main tantric sadhanas of Longchen Nyingthik tradition.

A drupchen (great accomplishment) is a group practice in the form of a meditation retreat according to the Vajrayana tradition led by an experienced Lama. During the seven days of the retreat, practitioners continuously perform the Rigdzin Dupa practice (sadhana), offer the feast (tsok) and recite the drupchen prayers and mantra, doing so in shifts in order to rest between the recitations.

The aim of a Drupchen is to purify and tame our body, speech and mind to become authentic and beneficial.
A three day preparatory course (18/02–20/02) will give everyone the time to learn the perfect way of performing a Drupchen, and the Drupchen will run for 8 nights and 7 full days (20/02 6pm to 28/02 8am).
