Dzogchen Winter Retreat
Subject:
Wisdom Chapter of the Bodhicaryāvatāra How can we meditate on the Great Emptiness
according to the Wisdom Chapter of the Bodhicaryāvatāra
with
Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche
We are very joyful in announcing that Patrul Rinpoche has decided to continue his commentary on the Bodhicaryavatara, or "The Bodhisattva way of life". Rinpoche has taught this profound and inspiring text since 1998. The ninth chapter is dedicated to wisdom, the sixth paramita, and is not often taught. It is therefore a very rare opportunity to which everyone is most welcome.
During this retreat, the ninth chapter — and in particular emptiness — will be extensively explained so that participants will become acquainted to this subject central to Buddhism. They will have the opportunity to ask questions to clarify their understanding, and meditate in the presence of an authentic teacher.
The retreat will take place in our international study and retreat center, Dharma City, between Christmas and New Year. Even though we are constantly striving to improve the living conditions, we won't be able to offer yet private rooms for accommodation. Participants who wish to stay onsite will be offered dormitory accommodation. They will be welcomed on the 25th of December, and will be allowed to stay until the 1st of January. Participants who wish to find accommodation around Dharma City can consult the following page.
The course will be given in English and translated into French and other languages if requested at the time of enrolment and if an interpreter is available.
